Polytech Glass - Mirratech - Mirror Splashback Sydney

The ultimate designer kitchen is incomplete without a mirror splashback! The latest trend in splashbacks has finally arrived - Mirratech Mirror by Polytech Glass.

Architects and Interior Designers are always looking for ways to 'push the envelope' with their creativity and want to incorporate mirrors in their designs, and up until now have been restricted by the inadequacy of normal mirror. Mirratech provides a creative solution by adding the illusion of extra space with a mirror splashback. It's suitable in kitchens, bathrooms and out side wet areas, as it is corrosion proof, moisture resistant, water vapour resistant and can be used in high air humidity areas.

Mirratech is Grade A safety glass and is toughened glass to Australian standards As 2208/1996 (known as tempered glass) in accordance with As 1288/2006 therefore making our product suitable for most conditions, recommended for use in domestic and commercial settings. Normal mirror is not grade A safety glass, as normal silvered mirrors are vulnerable to moisture, humidity and susceptible to corrosion and mirror creep rust.

Q:	When is my Mirratech project ready for measuring?
A:	For a kitchen splashback this is ready when all cabinetry are installed, including overhead cupboards, flyovers, bench tops, power points, switches, architraves, stoves and all fittings where mirratech is going to be installed.

Q:	Is it a tidy installation?
A:	Yes! All manufacturing is carried out in the factory, making for a clean installation there is no cutting on site.

Q:	How is Mirratech installed to the walls?
A:	Mirratech is installed using Strong industrial adhesives. The perimeters are sealed all the way around, making it completely sealed.

Q:	Is Mirratech transparent or opaque?
A:	Mirratech is completely opaque therefore you don't see any patches on the wall through the mirror.

Q:	What condition do my walls have to be in for installation?
A:	We can install mirratech on most surfaces that are reasonable, ensure that there is no hi spots sticking out; this includes walls made from rendered, plaster, villa board, and repaired walls etc.

Q:	Can I have power points or light switch's in Mirratech?
A:	Yes! This is no problem; as this is taken into account when we measure to allow for cut-outs in the glass, ensure these are all fitted in walls prior to check measuring.

Q:	Can I have coloured glass behind my range hood canopy?
A:	Yes! The range hood needs to be pre-fitted and fixing points need to be installed or marked out, also pre-fitting of ducting or marking out is necessary. Mirratech gets installed first and then the range hood canopy.

Q:	Does Mirratech come with a warranty?
A:	Yes! Mirratech comes with a 5-year warranty. Against deterioration and delamination of the coating and on all our workmanship.

Q:	How long does it take to manufacture my mirratech product?
A:	Manufacturing time is 7-10 working days on average from check measure in most times and in extreme times eg: Christmas rush 12-15 days.

Q:	How do I care for my mirratech product?
A:	We recommend for best results to use a streak free glass cleaner with a good quality paper towel or lint free cloth. Avoid abrasive harsh cleaners, scouring pads or steel wool; also avoid the use of spirits or solvents to clean the glass.
